Most Wanted: Mother of Amos Johnson

February 9, 2009 in Most Wanted

I’m looking for Amos Johnson‘s mother.  His father was Thomas M. Johnson (I think).

Amos was born about 1826 in Forsyth County, Georgia.    He can be found in 1850 in Union County, Georgia, then in 1860 in Gilmer County, Georgia. He and his wife, Betty, are buried in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, in Gilmer County.

His son, Reuben P. Johnson, is my 2x-great-grandfather.

If you have any information regarding Amos’ parentage, please leave a comment.
