Dear Tonia, We would like to let you know that we sincerely enjoy you site! My wife and I run the Swannanoa 4-h kids camp located just outside of old fort NC. I am involved with the Volounteer re-build of Davidson’s Fort in Old Fort near your ancestors history. Could you please call us here or, email me to help me research 1700.s history that seems by the locals unforgotten or,they have taken no interest in our forefathers history. As Teddy Roosevelt said “How do we know where we are going if we don’t know where we’ve been?” Again, Thank you for the wonderfull site you have provided! Sincerely, Mike and Maggie
Correction: Elmira (3rd bullet above) was not Leander P. Lytle’s wife. She was a servant in his son’s home.
