George William Butler was born January 28, 1912 in Texas. Sometime before 1920, his parents brought their family back to Murray County, Georgia, where they appeared on the 1920 and 1930 censuses. George married Ethel Waldroup in August of 1933. He died May 19, 1972 in Dalton, Georgia and is buried at Chatsworth Heights Cemetery in Chatsworth, Georgia. Ethel was born August 12, 1913 and died November 11, 1997. She is buried beside George.
