Welcome to Tonia’s Roots, my family history website.  I have been researching my family history for a total of four years, although seriously for only about two and half years.  My mission is to build as complete a history as possible for each of my ancestors and two generations of their descendants.

The site is divided into several sections: Home, About, and Family Tree.

The “Home” tab contains the blog and is where I chronicle my adventures in genealogy and share stories about the family.  Excerpts of the most recent posts are on the “Home” page.  Click on the post title to read the full article.  Click on any of the categories (top of the sidebar) or in the tag cloud to find past posts that may interest you.

“About” (you are here) is an introduction and offers navigation tips.

“Family Tree” is a database that contains all my research and includes a wide range of information including surnames, lineage, photos, documents, and much more.  Click here for an article on navigating the “Family Tree” tab.
