According to Hemphills in North Carolina, they were married at the Hemphill home, in the same ceremony as James M. Young and Margaret R. Hemphill.

Ben Hemphill and Fanny Saunders were married the same day, by the same minister, so presumably they were also married in the above ceremony.
Marriage of "Eliza A. Burgin" and " Thos. Y. Lytle" recorded in the McDowell County Marriage Index. The marriage was performed by "Thomas N. Pazetom," which I think should by "Thomas N. Paxton."
Thomas Y. Lytle's wife is reported as "Eliza Lytle" on his death certificate.
