This is proven, for on that date, Peter and Rebecca Stroud of Burk County sold land to Peter Willis of Brunswick Co, VA, being 800 acres on Terrils Creek waters of Haw River. Peter signed, and Rebekah made her mark. Witnesses were Isham Thrift and Anderson Stroud. Both of these were nephews, son-in-law and son of his brother William Stroud.
