[I'm not 100 % sure that this record refers to the correct family, but I believe it does based on these reasons. 1) It says William was born in South Carolina, which is consistent for William throughout all other censuses. 2) The head of household is Robert West, and William's death certificate reports his father's name as Robert. 3) Robert, William, and Nancy are found District 5 of Polk County again in 1870. 4) There are only 2 Robert Wests in Polk County in 1860 (which accounts for father and son), as well as only one William West and one Nancy West in Polk Co. in 1860.]
