In addition to taking lots of great classes and meeting lots of friends, I came back from the Southern California Genealogical Society’s 2011 Jamboree with lots of cool stuff.
Geneabloggers Welcome Bag
It started with the Geneabloggers Welcome Bag. Many vendors contributed to these bags to for the geneablogger group. Thanks to the following companies for their much-appreciated contributions (click on the links to go through their websites and see what these companies have to offer):
Genealogical Publishing Company
National Institute of Genealogical Studies
Maureen Taylor – The Photo Detective
Thanks also to the Jamboree Welcome Bag Team whose hard work made the bags happen:
Amy Coffin We Tree Blog (Texas, USA)
Thomas MacEntee High-Definition Genealogy (Illinois, USA)
Joan Miller Luxegen Genealogy (Alberta, Canada)
Linda and George Lenertz (California, USA)
Prizes
I also won some prizes on Sunday and I’d like to thank those companies as well.
At the Genealogy Gems Live Podcast, I won an awesome RootsMagic bag, full of software, webinars on CD, and a RootsMagic User Book. Then, at my last session, I won a $25 gift certificate from Family ChartMasters. Thanks to Lisa Louise Cook, Bruce Buzbee, and Janet Havorka for making the last day of Jamboree just as special as the first!
