Not Quite Wordless Wednesday: Prince Beaver

March 14, 2012 Tonia Kendrick 3 Comments

Prince Beaver

Prince Beaver was my grandmother’s brother-in-law.  He married her sister, Ellaree Ward.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the hat and the bandana over tie in this picture.  There is a picture of my grandfather that is the same size, shape, and coloring as this photo and Papa is wearing a cowboy hat and holding a gun.  Maybe they were at some sort of costume party together?

His costume is almost as crazy as his name!

As an aside, I love the fact you have ‘Reliability’ ratings for your sources. Must get a round tuit on that.

Hi Maggie, those reliability ratings are a feature of TNG, the software I use to run the Family History portion of this site. The numbers pull from the source quality ratings in RootsMagic. Not that you asked. : )

I’m using Reunion, so I need to check if I can add in a source rating – thanks for answering my unasked question! (Not so sure I’d want to publish the fact that I’d given a reliablity rating of 1 to info obtained from a relative, though. Editing required to avoid family drama, perhaps.)

About Tonia

Hi, I am Tonia Kendrick. Genealogy is my hobby, my passion (those who say obsession would not be accused of crazy-talk). While I had helped my mom with genealogy as a teenager, I first caught the bug myself when computers came into the picture.

Now we are well into the 21st-century and every day brings a new genealogy adventure, whether it is a new record group to explore online or a visit to a cemetery, courthouse, or other repository. It all comes together here. Read more about Tonia's Roots or contact Tonia. Read More…
