- I haven't yet found direct evidence that Wyatt is the son of Abner and Letie Lankford. However, he does have a son named Abner and a daughter named Leaty. Furthermore, he lives next door to David Lankford, who is the son of Abner and Letie, in 1850 and David's daughter, Louisa, names a Wyatt Lankford as a child of her grandparents in her Eastern Cherokee app. A Wyatt Lankford is further named as a child of Abner and Letie in the Eastern Cherokee app of John Allgood.
