Ben Hemphill and Fanny Saunders were married the same day, by the same minister, so presumably they were also married in the above ceremony. Marriage of "Eliza A. Burgin" and " Thos. Y. Lytle" recorded in the McDowell County Marriage Index. The marriage was performed by "Thomas N. Pazetom," which I think should by "Thomas N. Paxton." Thomas Y. Lytle's wife is reported as "Eliza Lytle" on his death certificate.
