Commenting on the three Strouds listed on the 1790 census, Mr. Anderson had this to say: "This Peter Stroud Jr was your fathers Uncle Peter and the one you all know about and was killed by Garrett."

April 14, the jury reported that it had 'met and found a road past Peter Strouds field.'"
